Good literature

I did not know anything about Bunnicula before this day, but now I want the book.
Seriously. A story about about a vampire bunny that sucks the juice out of vegetables? How could I not want it?

I would not lie to you.
I actually overhead someone in the office say this today while they were on a sales call:

"... to prevent accidental hittage."

Look, I'm all for the fun of making up new words when you're hanging out with friends and family but, in business, let's try and keep it professional, shall we?

Metallimouth
I have noticed that when I'm extremely stressed about something, I tend to taste metal in my mouth and generate more saliva.

I decided to google this information but didn't come up with anything that really applies to me. It seems that, normally, these symptoms are related to side-effects from certain medications, or pregnancy, or actual metals in the mouth corroding (such as fillings).

I'm not taking any drugs, I am definitely not with child, and I'm not really sure it has anything to do with the two small fillings I have because, if it did, I think I'd be tasting metal more consistantly. My condition just seems to occur when I'm highly aggravated and quietly seething, all the while combatting my need to explode with the desire to keep myself in check, behave and get past the irritation or frustration I feel.

I did come across one site that briefly talked about biological electrical impulses and I suppose that could be related to stress somehow but I'm not a science whiz and couldn't follow the explanation all that well. I will be adding this to my list of things to discuss once I find myself a physician I'm comfortable with.

Oop, sorry... didn't see you there. I'll come back later when you're not home.
My brother's been on vacation & working around the house. I don't normally hear from him (ever) so I was surprised to get another email from him (here's the other one).

He sent me the following picture. The quality isn't that great because he took it with his cell phone so, in case you can't tell, that's a raccoon scrambling across the screened back porch of his house, which is just off the kitchen.

Apparently, this little fellow tried to sneak in but, once he realized my brother was there, he "politely and quickly vacated the premises with no fuss". My brother said he was adorable and, even though we can only see his hindquarters in this shot, I believe him!

Taking kitty-loafing to a new level

This is how my sister's cat sleeps.
I find it hilarious but I also wonder...
how can she breathe like that?
